💡 The Short Version: One ticket, €13 online (€14 at the office), covers the Cathedral, the Giralda and the Divino Salvador church. The visit takes about 75 minutes and starts at the Giralda. On Sundays it opens at 14:30, so give Sunday morning to something else. In April and May the Cathedral says the most popular time slots usually sell out. What to see
The Cathedral calls itself the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, and it stands on the site of the city’s mosque. Allow the 75 minutes the Cathedral gives.

- The Giralda first. The visit starts here. It was a minaret, and the ascent is by ramps wide enough for riders on horseback. The Renaissance top, by Hernán Ruiz, carries the Giraldillo, a bronze statue about four metres high that gives the tower its name.
- The Patio de los Naranjos is the former courtyard (sahn) of the mosque.
- The Main Altarpiece, which the Cathedral considers the largest in Christendom, and the choir in front of it, with the organ.
- The Chapter House has a series of paintings by Murillo commissioned in 1667, and the Main Sacristy has the Last Judgment in its dome.
- Columbus. The monument to Christopher Columbus, a funeral procession with four heralds, has been in the Cathedral since 1899.
