About the guides
Guides for people visiting a city for a few days: which tickets to buy and when, which day trips are worth the time, where to stay and how to get around. Written for visitors, not for the people who live there.
How a guide is checked
- Prices, opening hours and ticket rules come from the operator's own page, and every time-bound fact carries a date. Each guide shows when it was last updated.
- Where a guide recommends places, it counts how many independent sources name each one, rather than giving our opinion. Sources in the local language count as much as English ones and are reported separately, so you can see whether a place is known to locals, to visitors, or both.
- A place that has closed comes off the page. We fix mistakes in place and do not keep a list of what a guide used to say.
How the site is paid for
Links marked ad are affiliate links: if you book through one, the company pays us a commission and your price is the same. Recommendations are never paid for, and where the official ticket office is the better buy, the guide says so. The privacy pagelists every programme.
