💡 The Short Version: The Museum Pass is €50 (€25 reduced) for 12 civic museums, valid for six months, with no reservation. The Doge’s Palace (€35) and Ca’ Rezzonico (€15) already cost €50 separately, so a third museum pays for it: with Ca’ Pesaro the separate tickets are €65. For the Palace alone the pass costs €15 more. Three €20 themed tickets are cheaper for one theme. The pass leaves out the Basilica, the Campanile, the Clock Tower, the Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim. Only the Doge’s Palace, the Correr and the Glass Museum open every day. Buy at MUVE’s ticket site. Or book: the official Doge’s Palace ticketad on GetYourGuide is the same €35.
What the pass is
The Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (MUVE) sells the pass on its ticket site and describes it at visitmuve.it. Search results for “Venice museum pass” include comparison and reseller sites; MUVE is the seller of the pass itself.

| Adult | Reduced | |
|---|---|---|
| Museum Pass | €50 | €25 |
- Reduced is for ages 6 to 14, students 15 to 25, over-65s, and holders of the Venice Rolling Card or an ISIC card. A seniors and junior offer gives the reduced price to every paying member of a group of two adults and at least one young person up to 16.
- One admission to each museum, valid for six months, with no reservation.
- The Clock Tower is not included. It is a guided visit at €15 and has its own ticket: see Doge’s Palace tickets.
- The Secret Itineraries tour is €20 instead of €40 for pass holders, because the reduced price covers them.
The sums
Single-ticket prices are the adult rates from each museum’s own site. The Doge’s Palace ticket includes the Correr, the Archaeological Museum and the Marciana rooms, which the pass also covers.
| Plan | Separate tickets | Against the €50 pass |
|---|---|---|
| Doge’s Palace | €35 | The pass costs €15 more |
| and Ca’ Rezzonico | €50 | The same |
| and Ca’ Pesaro | €65 | Saves €15 |
| and the Glass Museum on Murano | €80 | Saves €30 |
| and the Fortuny Museum | €95 | Saves €45 |
All twelve museums bought separately come to €153: the Doge’s Palace €35; Ca’ Rezzonico, Palazzo Mocenigo, Ca’ Pesaro, the Fortuny, the Glass Museum and the Natural History Museum €15 each; and Goldoni’s House, MUVEC, the Lace Museum and the Torcello Museum €7 each.
- Two sights or fewer: buy the tickets. The Doge’s Palace alone is €35, and with Ca’ Rezzonico the pass only breaks even.
- Three or more, over several days: the pass wins, and it needs no reservation.
- One theme: the combined tickets below are cheaper.

What the pass leaves out
- St Mark’s Basilica, the Pala d’Oro, the Museum and the Campanile: the Procuratoria di San Marco sells them. See St Mark’s Basilica tickets.
- The Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection: both sell their own tickets. A paid ticket at the Accademia, the Peggy Guggenheim, Palazzo Cini or Punta della Dogana gives a reduced ticket at the other three within seven days. Best museums in Venice has the prices.
- The Frari and the Scuola Grande di San Rocco: both charge at the door and take no pass. See Venice churches.
- Teatro La Fenice: a separate €12 visit. See La Fenice.
Tickets for two of the pass museums on GetYourGuide

Common questions
How much is the Venice Museum Pass?
€50 for adults and €25 reduced, for ages 6 to 14, students 15 to 25, over-65s and holders of the Venice Rolling Card or an ISIC card. It is valid for six months, gives one admission to each of 12 museums, and needs no reservation.
Which museums does the Venice Museum Pass cover?
The Doge's Palace, the Correr group (the Museo Correr, the Archaeological Museum and the Marciana Library rooms), Ca' Rezzonico, Palazzo Mocenigo, Goldoni's House, Ca' Pesaro with the Oriental Art Museum, MUVEC in Mestre, the Glass Museum on Murano, the Lace Museum on Burano, the Natural History Museum, the Fortuny Museum and the Torcello Museum. The Clock Tower is not included.
Is the Venice Museum Pass worth it?
For three museums or more. The Doge's Palace (€35) and Ca' Rezzonico (€15) cost €50 together, the same as the pass, and adding Ca' Pesaro (€15) saves €15. For the Doge's Palace alone, the pass costs €15 more.
Does the Museum Pass include St Mark's Basilica?
No. The Basilica, the Campanile and the Pala d'Oro are sold by the Procuratoria di San Marco, and the pass does not cover them. It does not cover the Accademia, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Frari or the Scuola Grande di San Rocco either.
Are there cheaper combined tickets?
Yes, three at €20 each, valid for three months: the Museums of 18th-century Venice (Ca' Rezzonico, Palazzo Mocenigo, Goldoni's House), the Museums of modern and contemporary art (Ca' Pesaro, Fortuny, MUVEC) and the Island Museums (Glass, Lace, Torcello).
Do I need to reserve with the Museum Pass?
No. MUVE says the pass allows one admission to each museum with no reservation required. Check each museum's days and hours first: six of them are closed on Mondays.
