What to see

Verona’s historic centre has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2000, for its Roman town in a loop of the Adige, with the Arena, the Roman theatre and Piazza delle Erbe (whc.unesco.org). The order for a day: Arena at opening, Juliet’s House at your slot, then the squares.

The Roman amphitheatre in Piazza Bra is open Tuesday to Sunday 09:00 to 19:00 and closed on Mondays. On show days it closes early, with last entry 30 minutes before, and the Comune lists the closing times month by month. On the first Sunday of each month from November to March entry is €1. The Arche Scaligere are free with a same-day civic museum ticket (museomaffeiano.comune.verona.it).

Civic-museum tickets are sold online on a new platform from 1 October 2026, and the Comune’s pages say to buy there. Sites with “Arena”, “Verona card” or “Verona access” in the domain that sell the same tickets are not the Arena or the Comune.

Juliet’s House

Courtyard €5 · with the house €12 · online booking compulsory

The balcony is in the courtyard, reached from the Teatro Nuovo in Piazzetta Navona, not from Via Cappello. The courtyard ticket is €5 and the house €12. Online booking is compulsory, even for free entry. The house is open on Mondays 14:00 to 19:00 and Tuesday to Sunday 09:00 to 19:00 (casadigiulietta.comune.verona.it). The VeronaCard

24 hours €33 · 48 hours €38 · includes the city buses

From 1 September 2026 the VeronaCard is €33 for 24 hours and €38 for 48 hours, with the ATV city buses included. It gives free entry to the Arena, Juliet’s House, Castelvecchio, the Roman Theatre museum, the Lamberti Tower (the lift is €1 extra), the cathedral, Sant’Anastasia, San Zeno, San Fermo and others. It is not valid on the Aerobus or extraurban buses (visitverona.it). The Arena and Juliet’s House together are €24, so the card pays off only if you add several of the other sites. Buy it from visitverona.it; sites selling a “Verona card” under another domain are look-alikes.
