💡 The Short Version: For a first visit, stay in the Centro Storico, the old centre where the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain are a few minutes’ walk apart, or in Monti, beside the Colosseum and the Forum, with metro line B. Choose Prati for an early slot at the Vatican Museums, Termini for day trips by train and the airport express, and Trastevere for restaurants and evenings, remembering that it has no metro. The hotel adds Rome’s tourist tax of €3.50 to €10 per person per night, for up to 10 nights.
