In this guide
💡 The Short Version: These hotels have a rooftop pool, and each shuts for the winter: the Aleph Rome (May to September), the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi (from 1 May; May to September), the Mercure Roma Centro Colosseo (May to September) and the H10 Roma Città (10:00 to 19:00, bar service in July and August). Hotel Villa Pamphili has a 25 m pool at ground level and a rooftop bar, open until 18 October 2026. Without a pool, a rooftop terrace is the alternative: hotels with one are listed at the end. Each address and each opening month is from the hotel’s own site, read on 30 September 2026.

Before you book
- Every pool here is seasonal. The rooftop pools open in May and close by October; none is open in winter, and the hotels vary their hours for events and weather.
- Ask about outside access before you count on a pool you are not staying at: the Aleph, the Anantara and the Cavalieri each handle it differently.
- The tourist tax is extra: Rome charges each guest €10 a night at a five-star hotel, €7.50 at a four-star and €6 at a three-star, for up to 10 nights, paid at the hotel (comune.roma.it, rates in force since 1 October 2023).
- Elsewhere in Rome: where to stay in Rome compares the areas, hotels near the Vatican lists the closest to an early Museums slot, and hotels near Termini lists the closest to the trains. For what to book before you fly, see what to book before you go in Rome.
