💡 The Short Version: Barcelona’s beaches run in a line from Barceloneta to the Fòrum, and the metro L4 has a station at several of them. In Barceloneta, the W Barcelona says it is the only hotel in the city with direct access to the beach. At the Port Olímpic, Hotel Arts calls itself beachfront and has two pools, but it is in the last phase of a renovation that runs to June 2027, with temporary closures. In the Vila Olímpica, the SB Icaria puts the sand 3 to 5 minutes’ walk away and the H10 Marina is close to it. At Diagonal Mar, the Hotel Barcelona Princess faces the Fòrum park, and the SB Diagonal Zero is 15 minutes on foot from the beach. The council’s lifeguards worked every day from 30 May to 13 September in 2026. Every stay adds a tourist tax of €7 to €12 per adult per night. Or book a tour: the City Sailing daytime or sunset catamaran cruise with musicad, from the Ronda del Port, is from £12 for an hour (GetYourGuide, 30 September 2026); boat tours compared has the rest.

The hotel stands at the southern tip of Barceloneta, and says it is the only hotel in the city with direct access to the beach. SALT, its restaurant and beach club, has a terrace over the sand, and the sun deck has an infinity pool. The rooms it lists include Sky Rooms on the upper floors with skyline views, and terrace suites; the hotel says every room looks over the city and the Mediterranean (rooms and dining pages on marriott.com, 30 September 2026).

Hotel Arts

A hotel at the Port Olímpic that describes itself as a beachfront urban resort, with a Ritz-Carlton Club lounge for club-level rooms. It has two outdoor pools: a family pool in the gardens, and the Gehry Pool, an adults-only infinity pool overlooking the Mediterranean and Frank Gehry’s fish sculpture. Swimming is listed as available 24 hours and poolside dining from 12:00 to 18:30. What decides it: the hotel is in the final phase of a renovation that runs to June 2027, and says selected indoor and outdoor spaces will close temporarily and in part (hotelartsbarcelona.com, 30 September 2026). Ask which are affected on your dates. The hotel lists Ciutadella | Vila Olímpica as its metro station.

Hotel SB Icaria

A four-star hotel next to the Port Olímpic in the Vila Olímpica, with an outdoor pool on a sun terrace and Lo Restaurant with a terrace. The hotel says the Nova Icària beach is 3 minutes on foot in its details and five minutes’ walk in its description of the area. It has double and family rooms (sb-hotels.com, 30 September 2026). The council calls Nova Icària one of the quietest beaches.

H10 Marina

A four-star hotel in the Olympic Village, near the Barceloneta beaches by its own account, with a terrace on the eighth floor that has a pool, a sun-lounger area and a bar; the bar serves in summer only. The hotel lists a 30 m² junior suite with a furnished 9 m² terrace, and family rooms (h10hotels.com, 30 September 2026).

Hotel Barcelona Princess

A four-star hotel of 363 rooms that puts itself opposite the Barcelona International Convention Centre, the Parc del Fòrum, Port Fòrum and the beach, beside the Diagonal Mar shopping centre. The infinity pool on the 23rd floor, 85 m up, is open from 7:00 to 20:00, and a second infinity pool on the 3rd floor from 7:00 to 19:00. The rooms include sea-view rooms with balconies on the upper floors and a suite on the 22nd floor (hotelbarcelonaprincess.com, 30 September 2026). The council’s transport notes for the Parc del Fòrum, which it faces, list the T4 tram and the metro L4 at El Maresme | Fòrum.

Hotel SB Diagonal Zero

A hotel a few steps from Port Fòrum, by its own account. Its own details give 15 minutes on foot to the beach, 7 minutes to the convention centre and 5 km to Passeig de Gràcia. It has a panoramic pool, a wellness area, Echo restaurant with a terrace, and rooms with sea or city views, including family rooms and suites (hoteldiagonalzero.com, 30 September 2026). The hotel’s text also says “a few steps” from the beach; plan on the 15 minutes.
