💡 The Short Version: The two houses are 490 m apart on Passeig de Gràcia and both start at €29. Casa Batlló is a house Gaudí remodelled from 1904 to 1906, seen in about 1 hour 15 with an audio guide; book early, because its price moves and booking ahead saves up to €15. La Pedrera (Casa Milà) is a block of flats he built round two courtyards, with an attic of 270 brick arches and a rooftop of 29 chimneys. For an evening visit, La Pedrera Sunset is €25 with the rooftop; Casa Batlló’s €25 night visit leaves the rooftop out. La Pedrera’s rooftop closes in rain, and the building is closed on 25 December 2026 and from 11 to 17 January 2027. Resellers charge the same “from” price as the official sites, or more. Or book a tour: the 3 Gaudí houses tourad (from £101.99, 3 hours) takes you into Casa Vicens, La Pedrera and Casa Batlló with a guide.

Two blocks of flats with separate entrances, built round two large courtyards linked by ramps down to the garage. Under the roof, the attic stands on 270 brick catenary arches; on top, the rooftop has six stairwell exits and 29 chimneys, flues from the old coal-fired heating. One group of chimneys is covered in fragments of dark green champagne bottles, and one of the small arches beside the staircases frames a view of the Sagrada Família (lapedrera.com). The Essential and Sunset tickets both cover the courtyards, an apartment, the attic and the rooftop.
