Paris hotels with an Eiffel Tower view: the room to book at each

At most hotels a tower view is one room category, not the whole hotel: Shangri-La's Eiffel View Room, the Peninsula's Rooftop Eiffel Suite, the Pullman's balcony Deluxe room. Each hotel with the category its own site names for the view, and the rooftop bars that see the tower without a room that does.

💡 The Short Version: A tower view is a room category, not a hotel. Book the one the hotel names: Shangri-La’s Eiffel View Room (45 m²) or its Terrace Eiffel View Room (55 m²), the Peninsula’s Rooftop Eiffel Suite, the Pullman’s Deluxe room with balcony and Eiffel Tower view or its Superior room on a high floor, the Mercure’s Privilege room with tower view, or the Novotel Vaugirard’s Executive room with tower view. The cheaper categories at the same hotels look at courtyards, gardens or avenues. A rooftop bar with the view is not a room with it. Every hotel also adds a tourist tax of €8.45 (4 stars) to €15.93 (palace) per adult per night. The hotels below are on Hotels.com.

Suites with the tower view include the Trocadéro Suite, with a balcony, and the top-floor Penthouse Eiffel.

Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel

20 rue Jean-Rey, 15e · 4 stars · Hotels.comad

Next door to the Pullman. The Privilege room on an upper floor (18 m²) is sold with the tower view and a double bed (all.accor.com, 30 September 2026). The gym on the 12th floor has the tower in its windows.

Novotel Paris Vaugirard Montparnasse

257 rue de Vaugirard, 15e · 4 stars · Vaugirard metro (line 12) about 150 m away · Hotels.comad

Further from the tower, at 30 minutes on foot (all.accor.com, 30 September 2026). The Executive room with the tower view (23 m², up to three guests) is the entry-level category; the Superior Suite (32 m²) and the Executive Suite (50 m², up to four) have it too, with balconies in most of the suites. Its Ilvolo rooftop bar has the tower in view.

Plaza Tour Eiffel

32 rue Greuze, 16e · 4 stars · 41 rooms · Hotels.comad

A quiet street about 580 m from the Place du Trocadéro. The Superior rooms with a balcony and a view of the tower are the ones to book.

Hôtel Le Walt

37 avenue de La Motte-Picquet, 7e · 4 stars · Hotels.comad

A boutique hotel by École Militaire station (metro 8). For the view, book the category it calls the Eiffel Tower View room.

Hôtel Le Derby Alma

8 avenue Rapp, 7e · 4 stars · Hotels.comad

Between the tower and the Pont de l’Alma, where the Bateaux-Mouches leave. Book the Eiffel Tower-facing Executive room.

Hôtel La Comtesse

29 avenue de Tourville, 7e · 40 rooms · Hotels.comad

The hotel says every one of its 40 rooms and suites sees the tower, from the front or the side, and the Comtesse rooms have a balcony. It is the one hotel here where the category does not matter.

Rooftop bars with a view

These hotels have a rooftop with a view of the city. They are bars and restaurants, and a room booking does not guarantee the view.

  • Terrass” Hotel, 12–14 rue Joseph-de-Maistre, 18e (Hotels.comad): the Edmond restaurant, on the 7th floor, and the rooftop bar look over the whole of Paris from Montmartre, with the tower among the landmarks (terrass-hotel.com, 30 September 2026). The hotel does not sell its rooms as tower-view.
  • The Peninsula Paris: the rooftop restaurant and bar L’Oiseau Blanc looks over the city’s monuments (peninsula.com, 30 September 2026).
  • Novotel Paris Vaugirard Montparnasse: the Ilvolo rooftop bar has the tower in view.

Before you book

  • Book the category, not the hotel: a hotel name in a Hotels.com search does not carry the view. Choose the room type the table names.
  • The tourist tax is extra: per adult per night, €8.45 at a 4-star hotel, €11.70 at 5 stars and €15.93 at a palace, the same in 2026 and 2027 (taxedesejour.paris.fr, 30 September 2026).
  • Getting there from the airport: the RER B from Charles de Gaulle does not come here; see Charles de Gaulle to central Paris, or Orly and Beauvais to Paris for metro line 14.

The tower itself

A hotel with the view does not get you up it. Lift tickets go on sale 60 days ahead and sell out in busy periods, and stairs tickets must be booked in advance too: the Eiffel Tower tickets guide has the prices. Seine river cruises compared covers the boats from the piers below it. For the rest of Paris, area by area, see where to stay in Paris.

Common questions

Which Paris hotels have rooms with an Eiffel Tower view?

Among those checked here: Shangri-La Paris, the Peninsula Paris, Hôtel Plaza Athénée, the Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel, the Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel, the Novotel Paris Vaugirard Montparnasse, Plaza Tour Eiffel, Hôtel Le Walt, Hôtel Le Derby Alma and Hôtel La Comtesse. Each sells the view as a named room category.

How do you book a hotel room with an Eiffel Tower view?

Book the category the hotel names, not the hotel. At Shangri-La that is the Eiffel View Room, at the Pullman a Deluxe room with balcony and Eiffel Tower view, at the Mercure the Privilege room with tower view, at the Peninsula the Rooftop Eiffel Suite. The cheaper categories at the same hotels look at courtyards, gardens or streets.

Does a rooftop bar with an Eiffel Tower view mean the rooms have it?

No. The Terrass'' Hotel in Montmartre, the Peninsula's L'Oiseau Blanc and the Novotel Vaugirard's Ilvolo bar all have rooftop views. The rooms are booked separately, and of the three only the Peninsula and the Novotel name a tower-view room.

Is the Eiffel Tower view worth paying for?

It costs a higher room category. Book it if the view is the reason for the stay. The cheaper alternative is a room at a hotel near the tower and a ticket to the summit: lift tickets are €36.70 and go on sale 60 days ahead.
