💡 The Short Version: The Museum Pass Berlin is €32 for three consecutive days at more than 30 museums, and it pays with the third paid museum. For one day on Museum Island, the €24 Museumsinsel ticket beats both. The Classic WelcomeCard costs more than day tickets for two to four days: €28.50 for 48 hours in zones AB against €22.40 for two 24-hour tickets, so it pays only through discounts. The €99 all-inclusive card pays only above €73.20 of sights on top of its transport, about five paid sights in two days. The Museum Pass leaves out the DDR Museum, the Stasi Museum, the TV Tower, the Berlin Cathedral and Charlottenburg Palace. Or buy a card: the WelcomeCard for zones ABad is from €28.50 on GetYourGuide, sold by visitBerlin.

The Classic card gives discounts, not entry, and the Museum Island card adds the island museums. The discounts include:
- Berlin Cathedral: €11 instead of €15.
- Humboldt Forum: the Berlin Global exhibition for €5 instead of €9.
- Tempelhof airport tours: 25% off.
- TV Tower: 25% off at the ticket desk only. An online ticket from €20 takes no WelcomeCard discount, so these cards do not clearly save money there.

Common questions
Is the Museum Pass Berlin worth it?
For three paid museums or more. The pass is €32 for three consecutive days at more than 30 museums, and three museums at €14 cost €42. For two museums the tickets cost €28, so the pass loses by €4. The pass has no transport and covers permanent exhibitions.
Is the Berlin WelcomeCard worth it?
Not for two to four days of transport alone. The Classic card for 48 hours in zones AB is €28.50, against €22.40 for two 24-hour tickets, so it pays only through its discounts. For five days the card, at €53.50, is €2.50 cheaper than five 24-hour tickets before any discount.
How much is the all-inclusive WelcomeCard?
€99 for 48 hours in zones ABC, rising to €179 for six days. It gives free entry to a list of partners and a day on the City Circle hop-on hop-off bus. The transport is worth €25.80 for 48 hours, so it pays once the sights on top come to more than €73.20.
What does the Museum Pass Berlin not cover?
The DDR Museum, the Stasi Museum, the TV Tower, the Berlin Cathedral, Charlottenburg Palace and the memorial sites. It covers permanent exhibitions only, and many Berlin museums are closed on Mondays or Tuesdays.
Is the Museumsinsel ticket cheaper than the Museum Pass?
For one day on the island, yes. The Museumsinsel ticket is €24 and opens every open island museum, which cost €70 separately. The Museum Pass is €32 for three days across the whole city.
Do WelcomeCards save money at the TV Tower and the Cathedral?
At the Cathedral, yes: €11 instead of €15. At the TV Tower the discount is 25% at the ticket desk only, and the online price from €20 takes no WelcomeCard discount, so the card does not clearly save money there. The all-inclusive card scans straight in.
