💡 The Short Version: The Museumsinsel ticket is €24 (€12 reduced) for one day and opens the Neues Museum, the Altes Museum, the Alte Nationalgalerie, the Bode-Museum and the Pergamon Panorama. It pays from the second museum: single tickets are €14 (€16 at the Alte Nationalgalerie), and the five open venues cost €70 separately. Every museum on the island is closed on Mondays. The Pergamon Museum itself is closed until 4 June 2027. Buy from the State Museums at smb.museum, online up to four weeks ahead or at the counters. Or book a tour: a one-hour boat trip from opposite the Berlin Cathedralad is €22 and passes the island, and the Discover Berlin walking tourad runs from the Brandenburg Gate to it.
The tickets
The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (SMB) runs all the museums on the island and sells the tickets at smb.museum. Search results for Museum Island tickets include resellers whose listings print hours and closures that differ from the SMB’s. The SMB sells the same ticket at the same price, so there is nothing to gain from a reseller.

What to see
The day ticket covers every open museum, so the order is a choice of subjects. Start with the Neues Museum if Nefertiti is the reason you came.

- Neues Museum. The bust of Nefertiti stands in the North Dome Hall, and the Egyptian Court is in the same building. The entrance is through the James-Simon-Galerie on Bodestraße. It is closed from 15 to 17 March 2027 for maintenance.
- Altes Museum. Greek, Etruscan and Roman art from the Antikensammlung, and coins. The SMB names the “Berlin Goddess” funerary statue, the Praying Boy, the busts of Caesar and Cleopatra and the Hildesheim silver treasure. The entrance is on Am Lustgarten.
- Alte Nationalgalerie. Art of the 19th and early 20th centuries, including Caspar David Friedrich’s “Monk by the Sea”. The second exhibition floor, with the French Impressionists and Liebermann, is closed from 29 September to 21 October 2026 and open again from 22 October.
- Bode-Museum. Sculpture and painting from the 13th to the 18th century, Byzantine art and coins. The entrance is by the Monbijoubrücke, and the museum is open until 20:00 on Thursdays.
- Pergamonmuseum. Das Panorama. A separate building at Am Kupfergraben 2, beside the island. It shows 80 works from the Antikensammlung, including the largest surviving section of the Telephos Frieze from the Pergamon Altar, and Yadegar Asisi’s 360-degree panorama of ancient Pergamon. The Pergamon page says what reopens in 2027.
