The Brandenburg Gate party
Kulturprojekte Berlin, the city’s culture agency, calls the party Yeah 27! and says Platz des 18. März and parts of Straße des 17. Juni become “Berlin’s largest dance floor”, with DJ sets, drinks and snacks. visitBerlin adds live music and lists the event on the Gate at 20:00. Free tickets are available from December, and the programme and the ticket page are on kulturprojekte.berlin.

Gendarmenmarkt
The Christmas market on Gendarmenmarkt runs to 31 December and is open that day from 11:00 to midnight. The organiser sells a separate New Year’s Eve ticket for €9, online or on the spot, and publishes the evening’s programme on its New Year’s Eve page. Entry to the market is €2, and the free weekday hours from 11:00 to 14:00 do not apply on 31 December: see Berlin Christmas markets 2026. Only small day bags are allowed on the square, about 15 litres, with no left-luggage room.
A dinner in the TV Tower

The Berlin TV Tower sells “New Year’s Eve with Tim Raue”, a five-course menu in the Sphere restaurant with wine pairings or non-alcoholic drinks, water and hot drinks included. Doors open at 19:30 and dinner is at 20:30. At 23:45 the guests go up to the observation deck, raise a glass of sparkling wine at midnight over the lights of the city, and are served a currywurst at 00:30. The evening ends at about 01:00. What is open on 31 December and 1 January
On 31 December 2026, from the operators’ pages:
- Reichstag dome: open until 16:00, with the last admission at 14:30. Registration is required: see Reichstag dome tickets.
- Holocaust Memorial information centre: closes at 16:00. The Field of Stelae is open at all hours: see the Holocaust Memorial.
- Humboldt Forum: 10:30 to 16:00.
- Charlottenburg Palace: 10:00 to 14:00.
- DDR Museum: 09:00 to 16:00: see the DDR Museum.
- Topography of Terror: closed.
- Markets: Gendarmenmarkt 11:00 to midnight; the Humboldt Forum market open as on other days, to 22:00; the Rotes Rathaus market and the Christmas Garden closed.
On 1 January 2027: the Topography of Terror is closed, the Holocaust Memorial information centre opens at 12:00, the Humboldt Forum is open from 12:00 to 18:30 and Charlottenburg Palace from 11:00 to 16:30. The Rotes Rathaus market reopens and runs to 3 January, and the Christmas Garden reopens with its Friday and Saturday hours to 22:00, which run to 2 January.
