Barcelona: Tapas Walking Tour with Food, Wine and Historyad starts at a bar on Carrer de la Boqueria, just off La Rambla, and makes 4 food stops in the Gothic Quarter: pincho bars, fish bars, traditional tapas bars and sometimes a ham shop. The guide talks through the history of the food and the old town, and drinks include wine, sangria and vermouth. The stops change with the season. It is a public tour, so you share the table with strangers. It is the cheapest walk here with a full 3 hours.

Barcelona: Food Walking Tour with Tapas and Winead is run by Carpe Diem Tours through the Gothic Quarter and El Born, with pre-arranged tables at 4 family-run eateries and 9 tapas: croquettes, patatas bravas, pimientos de Padrón, pintxos, then a shared paella and a dessert. The ticket also covers 4 drinks (wine, beer, vermouth, cava or non-alcoholic options). One stop is a bodega with a four-tapa menu. The guide meets you outside the Correos y Telégrafos building on Plaça d’Antonio López, holding a yellow Carpe Diem Tours sign, and the walk passes Roman ruins and Santa Maria del Mar (carpediemtours.com, 30 September 2026). It packs 9 tapas into 2½ hours.
Barcelona Local Experiences tapas walk
From £59.14 · 4.8 stars from 809 reviews · 2¼ hours · English
Barcelona Tapas and Wine Experience Small-Group Walking Tourad visits 4 bodegas in El Born and the Gothic Quarter, with 9 tastings that the listing says add up to a full meal: Iberian ham, cheeses, patatas bravas and octopus with a regional wine, cava or vermouth at each stop. There are two meeting points, depending on the option you book. A flamenco show can be added afterwards, but its ticket is bought at the venue and is not in the tour price.
Tapas and flamenco
From £42.98 · 4.4 stars from 1,513 reviews · 2 hours · English and Spanish
Barcelona: Tapas and Flamenco Experiencead, run by Travel Bound, puts the show before the food: a guide takes the group from the Gothic Quarter to a theatre for a 30-minute flamenco show, then walks through the lanes to a sit-down tapas dinner of at least 9 types, with jugs of sangria. It meets at the same bar as the tapas walk. It is a cheap way to combine the two, but the show is short: for a full one, see the flamenco shows compared.
The gourmet dinner
Food Lover Tour gourmet dinner
From £98.57 · 4.9 stars from 226 reviews · 3 to 4 hours from 18:30 · up to 10 people · English
Barcelona Gourmet Food & Wine Tour with Local Expertad is an evening in the Eixample rather than the old town. It starts outside La Pedrera at Passeig de Gràcia 92 and visits three venues: two contemporary tapas bars, then an upscale restaurant with a multi-course dinner and wine pairings. Food Lover Tour’s own page counts about 11 dishes and 5 drinks in total, and says it runs every day, in all weathers, and closes on 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January. Gluten-free and vegetarian meals are possible; it is not suitable for vegans. On its own site the tour is from €129 (about £110.58), against £98.57 on GetYourGuide (foodlovertour.com, 30 September 2026).
Paella classes
A class is a longer, sitting-down alternative to a walk: you cook, then eat what you cooked. Every class here includes sangria and a dessert or tasting.

Paella class with the Boqueria market
From £50.78 · 4.8 stars from 4,318 reviews · 3 hours · English
Barcelona: Paella Cooking Experience & Boqueria Market Tourad is Travel Bound’s class with a chef: a visit to the Boqueria to buy the ingredients, then tapas and pintxos to make (pan con tomate and montaditos) and a seafood paella cooked in one large pan, with a job for each guest and sangria mixed on the way. It meets at the same bar on Carrer de la Boqueria. The market visit does not happen on Sundays and public holidays, when the market is closed, and a vegetarian meal can be requested when you book.

Barcelona: Paella & Tapas Cooking Class with Sangria Makingad is a 2-hour team session led by a Catalan chef at Carrer d’en Blanco 36, in Sants-Montjuïc. A vegetarian menu is a paid add-on chosen at checkout, the vegan diet cannot be catered for, and late arrivals more than 15 minutes after the start are not admitted. Kampada’s own site sells it at €60 (about £51.43), with free cancellation up to 48 hours ahead (kampada.com, 30 September 2026).
A wine tasting instead
Wine tasting
From £30.00 · 4.8 stars from 707 reviews · 1½ to 2 hours · English
Barcelona Wine Tasting: Catalan and Spanish Winesad is a tasting led by a sommelier in the Old Town: 5 wines, one sparkling, two white and two red, with tips on tasting and pairing. You choose the food when you book: a snack board, five cheeses, or a lunch of tapas with three wines. It costs less than any tour here, but it is a tasting, not a meal.
Which tour to choose
- First evening, on a budget: Travel Bound’s tapas walk, £48.08.
- More than a snack in under three hours: Carpe Diem Tours, 9 tapas and a paella in 2½ hours.
- A proper dinner: Food Lover Tour, from £98.57, with a tasting-menu finish.
- Cooking, and the market: Travel Bound’s class from £50.78, on any day except Sundays and public holidays; Gastronomic Arts for a morning class with a market visit.
- A class with no market, in the evening: Kampada, from £48.75.
- Vegan: Gastronomic Arts says it accommodates vegan diets if you say so when you book; Kampada and Food Lover Tour say they cannot.
Book any of them once your sights are fixed: a tapas walk fits the evening after a Sagrada Família morning, the first day of 3 days in Barcelona. If you would rather choose your own tables, where to eat in Barcelona ranks tapas bars, Catalan restaurants and paella places by how many independent sources name them, with what to order and which days each is closed. Common questions
Which Barcelona food tour should I book?
For a first evening on foot, the tapas walk with the most reviews is Travel Bound's three-hour Gothic Quarter tour: from £48.08 on GetYourGuide on 30 September 2026, with 4 food stops and a group of up to 16. For more food in 2½ hours, Carpe Diem Tours' walk covers 9 tapas and 4 drinks at 4 eateries in the Gothic Quarter and El Born, from £60.94.
How much is a paella cooking class in Barcelona?
From £48.75 on GetYourGuide on 30 September 2026 for Kampada's 2½-hour evening class, with two teams cooking seafood and chicken paellas and unlimited homemade sangria. The class with a Boqueria market visit starts at £50.78 (Travel Bound) and £77.14 (Gastronomic Arts, up to 12 people, from €107 on its own site).
Is it cheaper to book a food tour on the operator's website?

Can vegetarians and vegans do a Barcelona food tour?
Vegetarians usually can: Food Lover Tour, Gastronomic Arts and Travel Bound's paella class all offer a vegetarian option, and Kampada sells a vegetarian menu as a paid add-on. Vegans are harder: Gastronomic Arts says it accommodates vegan diets when told at booking, but Kampada says it cannot adapt its class and Food Lover Tour says its gourmet tour is not suitable for vegans.
