💡 The Short Version: Keukenhof is open 18 March to 9 May 2027, 8:00 to 19:00, and tickets go on sale on 15 October 2026: adults from €21 online, €27 at the ticket office. A ticket is valid for one date and arrival time, and you need photo ID. The park has no station, so from Amsterdam you take the KeukenhofBuzz bus from Amsterdam RAI (in 2026, line 852, about 35 minutes) or a coach. On 2026 prices the coach is cheaper: about €46 by train and bus against £29.90 (about €35) for the shuttle with entry. Peak bloom is 15 to 30 April. Or book a tour: the shuttle with entry and a flexible returnad (from £29.90, 4.7 stars from 15,462 reviews) leaves from Amsterdam Noord; the transfer from Centraalad is also from £29.90 (GetYourGuide, 1 October 2026).

  • Season pass. A Lentepas covers the whole season, 18 March to 9 May 2027, 8:00 to 18:15, and holders are told in November.
  • Combiticket. The ticket that adds the KeukenhofBuzz bus has no 2027 price yet. In 2026 it was €38.50 for an adult and €17.50 for a child (4 to 17) from Amsterdam RAI, and €33.50 for an adult from Haarlem or Leiden. The bus alone from RAI was €18.20 return (Qbuzz).
  • Buy the park’s own tickets on keukenhof.nl only. The park warns that fake sites sell tickets and that keukenhof.nl is its only official website.

What to see

Allow about four hours: the shuttle’s schedule does.

  1. The gardens. About 7 million bulbs planted in layers, so the colours change week by week, along 15 km of paths. Which flowers are out depends on the date, see below.
  2. The indoor shows. Three pavilions run flower shows every day: the Juliana Pavilion (orchids and anthuriums), the Willem-Alexander Pavilion (tulips, amaryllis and plants) and the Oranje Nassau Pavilion (a changing show). Use them as shelter when it rains.
  3. Order. Walk the gardens first, while the light is good, and keep the pavilions for the end or for rain.

When it flowers in 2027

Keukenhof’s flower report gives three windows (keukenhof.nl):

  • 18 March to 14 April, early bloom: crocuses, daffodils, hyacinths, irises and small tulips.
  • 15 to 30 April, peak bloom: larger tulips, daffodils, grape hyacinths, fritillaries and late hyacinths.
  • 1 to 9 May, late bloom: the last tulips, irises and alliums.

The tulip season guide covers the bulb fields outside the park, which Keukenhof does not control, and best time to visit Amsterdam puts the tulip season in the year.

Practical information

  • Photo ID: the park rules require valid identification and Keukenhof can refuse entry without it. Children under 16 may not enter without an adult.
  • Entry closes at 18:15, and the park closes at 19:00.
  • Quieter times: in 2026 Keukenhof said it was generally quieter before 10:30 or after 16:00, and on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • Banned: drones, and selfie sticks longer than 100 cm. Dogs are allowed on a lead, one per visitor.
  • By car: parking needs its own ticket, €10 online or €15 at the gate, and bicycles park free.

Keukenhof is one of the day trips from Amsterdam, which compares it with the Zaanse Schans and Giethoorn on cost. What to book before you go to Amsterdam has the Anne Frank House and museum bookings to make around it, and Zaanse Schans, Volendam and Marken is the other trip that suits spring. 3 days in Amsterdam swaps Keukenhof in for the Zaanse Schans on day three.
