The train

Kraków Lotnisko station stands behind the multi-storey car park and is joined to the terminal by a covered footbridge. Trains run to Kraków Główny, the main station beside the Old Town, every 30 minutes at :17 and :47 past the hour, in 17 minutes. The first leaves the airport at 04:17 and the last regular train at 23:17, with extra trains at 00:07 and, on weekends and public holidays, at 00:57. In the other direction trains leave Główny at :06 and :36, from 03:26 to 23:36 (Kraków Airport; timetable). The current timetable runs 30 August to 24 October 2026.

- The fare. PLN 20 (£4) single to Kraków Główny, PLN 24 to Wieliczka. Luggage is free, and a dog is PLN 3. The 70-minute city ticket is not valid at Kraków Airport station.
- Where to buy. The ticket machine on the train (cash or card), the platform kiosk (08:10 to 19:45), kolejemalopolskie.com.pl, Koleo or Jakdojade.
- Onward. Kraków Główny sits beside the MDA bus station, for the coaches to Zakopane and Oświęcim. Kraków public transport has the tram tickets.

Bus 300 and 209 by day · night bus 902 · no bus 208
Guides that still list bus 208 are out of date: the line was withdrawn in November 2022. The airport’s page now lists three lines (Kraków Airport; ZTP).
- Bus 300 runs from Os. Podwawelskie through Rondo Grunwaldzkie, Monte Cassino, Zielińskiego, Księcia Józefa, Kryspinów, Budzyń and Balice to the airport. It does not go to the station or the Old Town; the link is a tram to Rondo Grunwaldzkie.
- Bus 209 is a rural line from Salwator to Mników through Balice, and is infrequent.
- Night bus 902 runs from Dworzec Główny Wschód through Lubicz, Basztowa, Dunajewskiego and Podwale, the edge of the Old Town, and Piłsudskiego to the airport.
- Tickets. Agglomeration fares: 15 minutes PLN 4, 30 minutes PLN 6, 60 minutes PLN 8, 90 minutes PLN 9, 24 hours in zone I PLN 20 and in zones I to III PLN 25. Buy at the machine in the terminal on level 0 (arrivals), at the bus stop machine (cash or card) or on board (card).

Katowice airport is about 117 km from Kraków, and no train runs from the airport to Kraków. The airport has its own station, Pyrzowice Lotnisko, about 500 m from the terminals, but a rail trip means changing at Katowice.
- Matuszek airport bus. From Kraków MDA (upper deck, stand G7, next to the railway station) to stand 3 or 4 in front of the Katowice terminal: PLN 90 (£17.50) one way, PLN 180 return, and PLN 10 more if you pay on board or at the terminal; children 0 to 12 pay half. It takes about 2 hours. Book online up to 2 hours before departure; a ticket stays valid for the next service after a late flight (matuszek.com.pl).
- FlixBus. From Pyrzowice, ul. Wolności 90, platform 7: a minimum of 1 hour 20 minutes, from £8.49, at least three trips a day (FlixBus).
