What to see
The four sights fall into two pairs, and Christ Church’s own page names all of them as neighbours in the Liberties.

- St Patrick’s Cathedral. Ireland’s national cathedral, on a site where the cathedral says Saint Patrick baptised converts over 1,500 years ago. It is on St Patrick’s Close, at the junction of Patrick Street and Upper Kevin Street. Free guided tours run Monday to Saturday at 10:30 and 14:30, and there are toilets and a small gift shop.
- Marsh’s Library. On the same close, and Ireland’s oldest public library according to Christ Church. It is an eighteenth-century library with a hidden garden and an exhibition of the most beautiful bindings in its collection. The main library is not accessible to wheelchairs.
- Christ Church Cathedral. It has stood at the centre of Dublin for almost 1,000 years. Services run daily, including morning prayer at 10:00 and a midday Eucharist at 12:45. Last admission for tours is 45 minutes before closing.
- Dublinia. A Viking and medieval Dublin museum at Christchurch, with a climb up St Michael’s Tower, an original medieval tower. The public tour is about 40 minutes and a walking tour about an hour. Allow 90 minutes.
What to skip: the second cathedral, if you are short of time. The two cost the same, and the only joint ticket that saves money is St Patrick’s with Marsh’s Library.
